New L'Oreal Infallibles!!

Today I went on the hunt(sort of) for the LE Maybelline Color Tattoos so I went back to the Walgreens that I found the neutrals from(long story on that-new post coming). Went looking around and found a display that I hadn't seen the week before. Turns out L'Oreal came out with two new colors and repromoted Golden Imperial.

Here are the pics!

MAC Style Seeker

Isn't this promo pic stunning?! This is probably my favorite promo pic from MAC since I started buying their products. Sadly there is a good chance I will skip this collection because as beautiful as this is, the color scheme for the products do not appeal to me. I'm not a copper/gold/bronze/olive/orange type of person, more of a cool toned blue/pink/purple/red/jewel tone kinda gal! I guess this makes sense because my skin tone is a warm shade. Oh well, more money for the 60's themed holiday collection which I hope will be EPIC!!!

An awesome visual explanation of body fat.

Granted this isn't exact for everyone but it is a great aid in helping me to see what I could look like if... Will be interesting to see how long it takes me considering my goal would be to be in between the 20-21% and 25-26% picture..whatever that would look like. Which happens to still be appropriate for my waist to height ration as well as BMI.

Two topics I'm tired of: Gabby's hair and Chick-Fil-A.

As an African American woman with natural hair, I can understand the importance of what my hair looks like and how it/I am perceived based on how it looks. To me Gabby's hair could look better.  I'm not a hater/jealous or insecure, very proud of her and the team actually. Apparently saying that equals being jealous a hater or insecure, but I am really none of those things. Ok well I am insecure but it has nothing to do with her or my hair, more like a weight issue(see previous 2 posts). And it is incredibly annoying when everyone says that just because some people have an opinion(insignificant one of course) they are any or all of those things. Make a better argument as to why that is the case, after all you don't know me from Adam or Eve. A critique or observation is not the same as hatred...seriously know the difference. Oh and don't say well she is an athlete...so. What about the Runners and Volleyball players? *taps keyboard* can't think of any huh?!

Now Chick-Fil-A, I love their food but really dislike their approach. I'm all for opinions/beliefs and stating them but why go to the extreme as they have done to make sure all knows their "T" or truth. Many different things could have been differently with yesterdays appreciation. Such as a drop off. Come in get food and drop off any goods or clothing and support your local/national charities. Or just donating the extra proceed's from the day to Chick-Fil-A's favorite charities. Or give away a free item with purchase. Anything other than what occurred yesterday. To see a group of other AA people holding up bags of Chick-Fil-A in church was probably more disturbing than anything else. I don't understand how a group of Christian people can support a company that literally hates someone based on their personal sexual relationship. Who gave you the right to care what someone else does in their own bed which more than likely will have no personal/professional affect on you? Not allowing someone to get married based on sexual orientation is ridiculous. Did I choose to be straight, did I choose to be AA, did I choose to only date white men? Absolutely not. So what on earth gives people the idea that the LGBT community chose to be who they are? Insane. After all of this honestly I am not sure I will go back and eat there again.

Will be doing this workout plan starting tomorrow along with 30 minutes of walking.

Weightloss

Well here I am, almost 30 and the heaviest I have ever been. Talk about womp womp! I have always been thicker/bigger than everyone else really until I got to high school. I remember in the 5th grade weighing 132lbs at about 5'0", then not being able to wear a 34 size men's jeans in the 8th grade. By 9th grade the 34 jeans fit too snug and I weighed about 189lbs. By the time I graduated I was 230lbs at 5'8". For the most part I stayed in the 200's until 2010/2011. I quit the job that I was working out the most in and got a job that I sat all day. Well next thing I know 325lbs was staring in my face. No bueno.

So hubster decided he is too fat and finally wants to diet. Mind you I have been trying for MONTHS and he ruins it every time. Well now that he is doing his thing, I can sort of do mine. A modified Atkins diet. I'll eat the meat and be at a low carb rate for the day but will drink sporadically a few Wonderslim shakes. So I started at 331.5lbs on 7/23, as of this morning I am at 323.4lbs!!! Go me! I think my goal weight is 140lbs. Since I don't know what I will look like at that weight, I may or may not change that. All depends, but that is what I am sticking with.

I will do weekly updates on success and hopefully no to little failure!!

My precious little babies

This is my little setup for now. Once I get a desk, probably the MICKE desk from IKEA, this will no longer be visible to everyone :)

London Olympics 2012

Watching the Olympic ceremony and I'm bored frankly.

EDIT: It definitely got better.

EDIT of the EDIT: OMG how could I forget Mr. Bean?!?! LOVED it

Highlights:
  • David Beckham...*fans self* that is one sexy man!!
  • The chick for the Benny and June thing has the most perfect curls ever.
  • Denmark, the land of the blondes had some FINE men. *drools*
  • The Egyptians were so excited, totally endearing!
  • Mr. Fiji. OMG that man is sexy
  • Ms. France was stunning.
  • Germany was interesting with the choice in outfits. Men wore blue, Women wore pink. How original.
  • Netherlands had some fine men too.
  • The NIGERIANS!!!! The had the best intro period. All dancing in sync. Gorgeous outfits. Loved it.
  • Ms. Qatar was another stunning woman. The looked very black but not really. Interesting.
  • Ms. Sierra Leone had a nice do, pinned on one side fro. Topped it off with some bangin silver hoops!
  • Tuvalu had an interesting story. They received a URL with .tv and decided to sell the domain to some Californian internet moguls for a profit of $50 million! How smart are they?!
  • The US had an amazing representation of 529 athletes! Always with a controversy, our outfits were made by Ralph Lauren, sell for over $1,000 and were made in CHINA. WTF! But it was nice to see our fellow countrymen all in support of each other. This tweet killed me though " America's outfits show we have no identity. We got on Scottish kilts, British jackets, French Berets and German scarves. *faints*". It is so true though. No identity at all.
  • Great Britain. Not sure what they were wearing. They were all so excited and seriously looked wasted lol.
  • The lead singer of Arctic Monkey's looked just like Johnny Depp in Crybaby!
  • And the final spectacle of the night with Sir Paul McCartney was pretty awesome with all the fireworks. Everyone singing along to "Hey Jude".
  • The Queen cracked me up. Never really smiled or seemed to have a good time. Her one line to open the olympic games was hysterical. We waited hours for that!
  • Finally the recap was amazing, plus they showed sexy Mr. Fiji again lol.

If I could, this would be my background for EVERYTHING!! This is by far my favorite collection since I got into MAC about a year ago. I knew this collection would break the bank but I had no idea I would get as much as I did. Don't have a final list yet, but let's just say there will be quite a few posts on this collection coming soon!
